सेंसेक्स 100 अंक मजबूत, निफ्टी 10300 के ऊपर, RIL में 2% का उछाल

 

ग्लोबल मार्केट से मिले पॉजिटिव संकेतों के मंगलवार को घरेलू स्टॉक मार्केट की शुरुआत बढ़त के साथ हुई। शुरुआती कारोबार में बैंकिंग, ऑटो, आईटी, मेटल, फार्मा, रियल्टी, कंज्यूमर डुरेबल्स, ऑयल एंड गैस और पावर शेयरों में खरीददारी से मार्केट में तेजी बढ़ गई है। वहीं हैवीवेट रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज, भारती एयरटेल, एचयूएल, इंफोसिस, एचडीएफसी, एचडीएफसी बैंक और मारुति के शेयरों में बढ़त से मार्केट को सपोर्ट मिला है। फिलहाल सेंसेक्स 116 अंक बढ़कर 33,476 अंक पर और निफ्टी 32 अंक उछलकर 10,331 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

 

सिम्पलेक्स इंफ्रा और एआरएसएस इंफ्रा में 12% से ज्यादा की तेजी

 

कारोबार में सिम्पलेक्स इंफ्रा और एआरएसएस इंफ्रा स्टॉक्स में 12 फीसदी से ज्यादा की तेजी दर्ज की गई है। सिम्पलेक्स इंफ्रा को 524 करोड़ रुपए का ऑर्डर मिला है जिसकी वजह से स्टॉक में 13 फीसदी का उछाल देखने को मिला। वहीं एआरएसएस इंफ्रा को 87.10 करोड़ रुपए का ऑर्डर मिलने से स्टॉक 12.14 फीसदी बढ़ा है।

मिडकैप–स्मॉलकैप शेयरों खरीददारी

 

– कारोबार में लार्जकैप शेयरों के साथ मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में अच्छी खरीददारी दिख रही है। बीएसई का स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 0.60 फीसदी बढ़ा है। स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में मिर्क इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, सिंपलेक्स इंफ्रा, डोनियर, विकास इको, बीआरएफएल, वेंकीज, आरटीएन पावर, स्टर्लिंग टूल्स, सोरिल इंफ्रा में 9.38-4.99 फीसदी बढ़े हैं।– वहीं बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 0.40 फीसदी मजबूत हुआ है। मिडकैप शेयरों में एनबीसीसी, वर्लपूल, टोरेंट फार्मा, पीजीएचएच, एसजीवीएन, ओबेरॉय रियल्टी, राजेश एक्सपोर्ट, टाटा पावर, रिलायंस इंफ्रा 3.59-1.43 फीसदी तक चढ़े

 

रुपए की मजबूत शुरुआत

हफ्ते के दूसरे कारोबारी दिन रुपए की शुरुआत बढ़त के साथ हुई। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 3 पैसे मजबूत होकर 65.08 के स्तर पर खुला। वहीं सोमवार को डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 11 पैसे की कमजोरी के साथ 65.11 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ। रुपए की शुरुआत हल्की बढ़त के साथ हुई थी। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 4 पैसे बढ़कर 64.97 के स्तर पर खुला था।

 

FII रहे बिकवाल, घरेलू निवेशकों ने की खरीददारी

 

सोमवार के कारोबार में फॉरेन इंस्टीट्यूशनल इन्वेस्टर्स (एफआईआई) ने घरेलू स्टॉक मार्केट में 358.74 करोड़ रुपए के शेयर बेचे। वहीं डोमेस्टिक इंस्टीट्यूशनल इन्वेस्टर्स (डीआईआई) ने 613 करोड़ रुपए के स्टॉक्स खरीदे।

 

एशियाई बाजारों का हाल

 

अमेरिकी बाजारों में बढ़त से मंगलवार को एशियाई बाजारों में तेजी के साथ कारोबार देखने को मिल रहा है। सिंगापुर का एसजीएक्स निफ्टी इंडेक्स 0.32 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ 10348 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

 

जापान का बाजार निक्केई 227 अंक बढ़कर 22,488 स्तर पर है। हैंग सेंग 254 अंक उछलकर 29,515 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है। कोरियाई बाजार का इंडेक्स कोस्पी 0.24 फीसदी चढ़कर 2534 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है। ताइवान इंडेक्स 89 अंक बढ़कर 10,753 के स्तर पर कारोबार कर रहा है। वहीं शंघाई कम्पोजिट 21 अंक बढ़कर 3,414 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है, जबकि स्ट्रेट्स टाइम्स में 0.97 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ 3420 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

 

अमेरिकी बाजार हल्की बढ़त पर बंद

 

सोमवार को अमेरिकी बाजार बढ़त के साथ बंद हुए। डाओ जोंस 72 अंक बढ़कर 23,430अंक पर बंद हुआ। नैस्डैक 8 अंक की हल्की बढ़त के साथ 6,791 अंक पर बंद हुआ। वहीं एसएंडपी 500 इंडेक्स 3 अंक बढ़कर 2,582 अंक पर बंद हुआ।

मूडीज की रेटिंग से बाजार में शानदार तेजी, सेंसेक्स 350 अंक बढ़ा, निफ्टी 10300 के ऊपर

 

ग्लोबल रेटिंग एजेंसी ने करीब 13 साल बाद भारत की रेटिंग बढ़ाई है। रेटिंग बढ़ाए जाने की खबर से बाजार की शुरुआत तेजी के साथ हुई। सेंसेक्स 282 अंक बढ़कर 33,388 अंक पर खुला। वहीं निफअटी 110 अंक चढ़कर 10,325 अंक पर खुला। शुरुआती कारोबार में तेजी से सेंसेक्स में 400 अंकों की बढ़त आई है। आईटी को छोड़ सभी सेक्टरल इंडेक्स में मजबूती के साथ कारोबार हो रहा है।

 

बैंक निफ्टी ने बनाया रिकॉर्ड

 

पीएसयू बैंक शेयरों में जोरदार खरीददारी से बैंक निफ्टी इंडेक्स ने नया रिकॉर्ड बनाया है। बैंकिंग शेयरों में खरीददारी से निफ्टी बैंक इंडेक्स 1.55 फीसदी बढ़कर रिकॉर्ड हाई 25,902.50 अंक पर पहुंच गया।

 

मिडकैप–स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में जोरदार तेजी

 

– लार्जकैपशेयरोंकेसाथ–साथमिडकैप औरस्मॉलकैप शेयरोंमें भी अच्छीखरीददारी देखने को मिलरही हैबीएसईकास्मॉलकैपइंडेक्स1.09 फीसदी बढ़ा है।स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में जीटीएलइंफ्रा, सोरिल इंफ्रा, आटीएन पावर, जीटीएल, मुथूट फाइनेंस, आरएमएल, रैडिको 10.22-7.25 फीसदी तक बढ़े हैं।

 

– वहीं बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 1.13 फीसदी की मजबूती के साथ कारोबार कर रहा है। मिडकैप शेयरों में श्रीराम सिटी यूनियन, श्रीराम ट्रांसपोर्ट फाइनेंस, सेल, कैनरा बैंक, आईडीबीआई, क्रॉम्पटन, बैंक ऑफ इंडिया, 3एम इंडिया, पीएनबी हाउसिंग, डालमिया भारत, नेशनल एल्युमीनियम 3.89-2.59 फीसदी चढ़े हैं

 

FII रहे बिकवाल, डीआईआई ने की खरीददारी

गुरुवार के कारोबार में फॉरेन इन्वेस्टर्स ने घरेलू स्टॉक मार्केट में 447.42 करोड़ रुपए के शेयर्स बेचे। वहीं डीआईआई ने स्टॉक मार्केट में 847.45 करोड़ रुपए इन्वेस्ट किए।

 

रुपया 60 पैसे की मजबूती के साथ खुला

 

ग्लोबल रेटिंग मूडीज ने 13 साल बाद भारत की रेटिंग में सुधार किया है। रेटिंग में सुधार का असर रुपया पर हुआ। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 60 पैसे की मजबूती के साथ 64.72 के स्तर पर खुला।

 

गुरुवार को डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 11 पैसे टूटकर 65.32 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ था। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 8 पैसे कमजोर होकर 65.29 के स्तर पर खुला था।हालांकि रुपए में मंगलवार को सुधार दिखा था। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 21 पैसे बढ़कर 65.21 पर बंद हुआ था।

 

अमेरिकी बाजार बढ़त के साथ बंद

 

गुरुवार के कारोबार डाओ जोंस 187 अंक की तेजी के साथ 23,458 अंक पर बंद हुआ। एसएंडपी 500 इंडेक्स 21 अंक बढ़कर 2,586 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ। नैस्डैक 87 अंक की मजबूती के साथ 6,793.3 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ। टैक्स कटौती बिल पास होने की उम्मीद से भी अमेरिकी बाजारों को सहारा मिला।

बाजार ने बढ़त गंवाई, सेंसेक्स ऊपरी स्तर से 100 अंक गिरा, निफ्टी 10400 के ऊपर

 

पॉजिटिव ग्लोबल संकेतों से शुक्रवार को घरेलू स्टॉक मार्केट नई ऊंचाई पर खुले। रिकॉर्ड हाई पर खुलने के बाद मार्केट ने बढ़त गंवा दी है। फार्मा, मेटल, आईटी और ऑटो शेयरों में बिकवाली से सेंसेक्स ऊपरी स्तर से 100 अंकों से ज्यादा टूट गया है। वहीं निफ्टी ऊपर से 40 अंक गिरा है। आज के कारोबार में स्टॉक मार्केट ने फिर एक नया रिकॉर्ड बनाया। निफ्टी ने 10,461.70 प्वाइंट की रिकॉर्ड ऊंचाई को छुआ है, तो सेंसेक्स 33692.58 के नए हाईएस्ट लेवल पर पहुंचा। फिलहाल सेंसेक्स 22 अंक गिरकर 33551 अंक पर और निफ्टी 14 अंक फिसलकर 10409 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

मिडकैप–स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में उछाल

 

– शुरुआती कारोबार में मिडकैप और स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में अच्छी खरीदारी दिख रही है। बीएसई का स्मॉलकैप इंडेक्स 0.67 फीसदी बढ़ा है। स्मॉलकैप शेयरों में हाथवे, एक्सेल कॉर्प, एमटेक ऑटो, पावर मेच, कास्टेक्स टेक्नोलॉजी, फ्लेक्सी टफ, डेन, जेएमटी ऑटो 19.91-7.36 फीसदी तक बढ़े हैं।

 

– वहीं बीएसई का मिडकैप इंडेक्स 0.22 फीसदी बढ़ा है। मिडकैप शेयरों में जीईटीएंडडी, भारत फोर्ज, टाटा कम्युनिकेशंस, एमफैसिस, एसजेवीएन, बायरकॉर्प, इंडियन बैंक, टाटा केमिकल्स, टोरेंट फार्मा, चोलामंडलम फाइनेंस, अडानी पावर, पीएनबी हाउसिंग फाइनेंस, वॉकहार्ट फार्मा, जीएमआर इंफ्रा 6.83-1.06 फीसदी बढ़े।

 

महिंद्रा लॉजिस्टिक्स का IPO 5.54 गुना हुआ सब्सक्राइब

 

महिंद्रा लॉजिस्टिक्स का 830 करोड़ रुपए का आईपीओ आखिरी दिन गुरुवार को 5.54 गुना सब्सक्राइब हुआ। इस इश्यू का प्राइस बैंड 425-429 रुपए था। कंपनी ने 15 एंकर इन्वेस्टर्स से कुल 247.20 करोड़ रुपए जुटाए हैं।

 

रुपया 3 पैसे की मजबूती के साथ खुला

 

हफ्ते के आखिरी कारोबारी दिन रुपए की शुरुआत बढ़त के साथ हुई। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 3 पैसे मजबूत होकर 64.57 के स्तर पर खुला।

 

गुरुवार को डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया सपाट होकर बंद हुआ। रुपया 1 पैसे बढ़कर 64.60 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ। गुरुवार को रुपए की शुरुआत मजबूती के साथ हुई थी।डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया आज 6 पैसे बढ़कर 64.53 पर खुला था। बुधवार को रुपए में जोरदार मजबूती देखने को मिली। डॉलर के मुकाबले रुपया 16 पैसे बढ़कर 64.59 के स्तर पर बंद हुआ था।

 

एशियाई बाजारों का हाल

 

अमेरिकी बाजारों में मिले–जुले कारोबार से शुक्रवार को एशियाई बाजारों में शुरुआती कारोबारी में हल्की तेजी रही। सिंगापुर का एसजीएक्स निफ्टी इंडेक्स 0.17 फीसदी की बढ़त के साथ 10,472.50 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।जापान का बाजार आज बंद है। हैंग सेंग 100 अंक बढ़कर 28618 अंक कारोबार कर रहा है।कोरियाई बाजार का इंडेक्स कोस्पी में 0.04 फीसदी की गिरावट दिख रही है। हालांकि ताइवान इंडेक्स 5 अंक की मामूली बढ़त के साथ 10793 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।वहीं स्ट्रेट्स टाइम्स में 0.24 फीसदी की गिरावट दिख रही है, जबकि शंघाई कम्पोजिट इंडेक्स 14 अंक गिरकर 3370 अंक पर कारोबार कर रहा है।

 

जेरोम पॉवेल बने फेड रिजर्व के नए चेयरमैन

 

जेरोम पॉवेल फेडरल रिजर्व के नए चेयरमैन नॉमिनेट हुए हैं। फेडरल रिजर्व के चेयरमैन जनेट येलेन का कार्यकाल अगले वर्ष फरवरी में समाप्त हो रहा है।

 

बैंक ऑफ इंग्लैंड ने बढ़ाई ब्याज दरें

 

बैंक ऑफ इंग्लैंड ने 10 साल में पहली बार ब्याज दरों में बढ़ोतरी की है। बैंक ऑफ इंग्लैंड ने ब्याज दरों में 0.5 फीसदी की बढ़ोतरी की है।

 

अमेरिकी बाजारों में मिला–जुला कारोबार

 

गुरुवार के कारोबार में अमेरिकी बाजार मिले–जुले बंद हुए। डाओ जोंस 81 अंक बढ़कर 23,516 अंक पर बंद हुआ। हालांकि एसएंडपी 500 इंडेक्स 0.02 फीसदी बढ़कर 2,580 अंक पर बंद हुआ। वहीं नैस्डैक 1 अंक गिरकर 6,715 अंक पर बंद हुआ।

Sensex surges over 100 points; Nifty50 above 10,100; Airtel, Tata Steel top gainers

Benchmark indices opened on a firm note on Friday, thanks to upbeat economic data releases and TCS BSE 0.92 % results that met market expectations.

At 9.30 am, the BSE Sensex was trading 155.77 points, or 0.48 per cent, higher at 32,337.99. The Nifty50 was trading at 10,139.85, up 43.45 points, or 0.43 per cent.

Fear gauge India VIX eased 1.38 per cent to 10.89, while smallcap and midcap indices trading up to 0.5 per cent higher.

Data released post market hours on Thursday showed that the index of industrial production (IIP) rose 4.3 per cent in August, reversing a contraction in June and faster than a 0.9 per cent rise in July, according to data released by Central Statistics Office on Thursday. Inflation based on the consumer price index (CPI) was at 3.28 per cent in September, unchanged from August, the statistics office said.

“Levels around 10,135-10,178, are the levels to watch out for and on the downside, 10,035-9,980 would be seen as immediate support levels,” Angel Broking said in a note.

 

Shares of Bharti AIrtel BSE 6.72 % rallied 6.36 per cent to Rs 425.50 on BSE. The Tata Group has agreed to sell its mobile business to Bharti Airtel for free, ending the salt-to-software conglomerate’s long-standing attempts to rid itself of this loss-making venture while bolstering the market share and 4G airwaves capacity of the Sunil Mittal-led company.

Tata Steel BSE 1.90 % gained 1.37 per cent to Rs 700.30. Reliance Industries gained 1.20 per cent to Rs 883 ahead of its quarterly earnings. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and HDFC added up to 1.20 per cent.

Adani Ports, Kotak Mahindra Bank and ONGC edged up to 0.41 per cent lower.

BSE Smallcap index rises; India Glycols up 15%

Shares of India Glycols BSE 15.42 % (up 15.06 per cent), BASF India BSE 15.57 % (up 12.51 per cent), Ucal Fuel Systems BSE 10.81 % (up 11.81 per cent), Gufic BioSciences BSE 9.15 % (up 10.44 per cent), Jamna Auto Industries BSE 13.82 % (up 10.21 per cent) and TVS Electronics BSE 10.00 % (up 10 per cent) jumped over 10 per cent in the BSE Smallcap index in Friday’s trade.

The S&P BSE Smallcap index was trading 1.12 per cent up at 16,634 around 11:08 am (IST). Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.78 per cent at 9,965, while BSE Sensex was up 0.69 per cent at 31,811 around the same time.

Shares of Arshiya BSE 8.09 % (up 8.97 per cent), Datamatics Global Services BSE 6.72 % (up 8.18 per cent), Sangam (India) (up 8.08 per cent), G M Breweries BSE 6.45 % (up 8.05 per cent), Rallis India BSE 7.11 % (up 7.86 per cent), Aptech BSE 9.99 % (up 7.79 per cent), Vardhman Special Steels (up 7.70 per cent), JBF Industries BSE 6.63 % (up 7.28 per cent) and Elecon Engineering Company BSE 6.87 % (up 7.03 per cent) surged over 7 per cent in the small cap index.

However, smallcap stocks such as Gammon Infrastructure Projects BSE -4.50 % (down 5.19 per cent), Ricoh India BSE -4.99 % (down 4.99 per cent), Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network BSE -4.98 % (down 4.98 per cent), Gammon India BSE -4.93 % (down 4.93 per cent), Nitin Fire Protection Industries BSE -4.93 % (down 4.93 per cent), Arrow Greentech (down 4.43 per cent) and Ducon Infratechnologies (down 4.02 per cent) cracked over 4 per cent.

Tata Steel BSE 3.91 %, NTPC BSE 3.34 %, State Bank of India BSE 2.03 %, Infosys BSE 1.80 % and Coal India BSE 1.48 % were the top gainers in the Sensex kitty.

HDFC, Hero MotoCorp and Dr Reddy’s were the losers in the Sensex index.

On the BSE, 1,734 stocks were advancing whereas 536 stocks were lagging and 93 stocks were appearing unchanged.

Metal stocks such as APL Apollo Tubes BSE 4.91 % (up 4.71 per cent), Hindustan Zinc BSE 3.84 % (up 3.85 per cent), National Aluminium Company BSE 2.17 % (Nalco) (up 3.65 per cent) and MOILBSE 3.66 % (up 3.04 per cent) gained up to 4 per cent in Tuesday’s trade, helping Nifty Metal index extend the gains for the third consecutive session.

The Nifty Metal index was trading 1.08 per cent up at 3,589 around 10.40 am (IST), while benchmark Nifty was 0.66 per cent up at 9,853 and Sensex was trading at 31,498, up 0.69 per cent.

Besides Nifty Metal index, auto and realty indices were also gaining over 1 per cent in Tuesday’s trade

PSU banks, however, appeared cautious. State Bank of India BSE -0.63 % (down 0.87 per cent), IndusInd Bank BSE 1.18 % (down 0.49 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank BSE -0.27 % (down 0.24 per cent) were losing in trade.

However, Axis Bank BSE 0.64 %, ICICI Bank BSE 0.14 % and IDFC Bank were trading in the green.

Tata Motors BSE 4.37 %, GAIL BSE 3.51 %, Bajaj Auto BSE 2.35 %, Reliance Industries BSE 1.83 %, Bharti Infratel and Indiabulls Housing Finance were the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the contrary, Power Grid BSE -1.64 %, Maruti, State Bank of India and Larsen & Toubro were the top losers.

On the NSE, 1143 stocks were advancing, compared with 455 stocks declining and 399 stocks remaining unchanged.

On the BSE, 1,492 stocks were advancing whereas 671 stocks were lagging and 98 stocks were appearing unchanged.

Rupee Rebounds 26 Paise To 64.41 Against US Dollar

The rupee on Thursday staged a smart rebound and closed 26 paise higher at 64.41 against the US dollar on account of fresh selling of the American currency by exporters as also helped by weakness in greenback overseas.

In the global market, the dollar remained under pressure in early trade today, with US President Donald Trump stating that he prefers a weaker US currency, hurting investing appetite for the greenback. The rupee opened higher at 64.45 as against yesterday’s closing level of 64.67 per dollar at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market here today.

Later, it advanced to 64.26 on good bouts of dollar selling from banks before ending at 64.41, showing a gain of 26 paise or 0.40 per cent.

The domestic currency hovered between 64.26 and 64.48 per dollar during the day. The RBI, meanwhile, fixed the reference rate for the dollar at 64.3165 and for the euro at 68.6193. The dollar index, which tracks the US currency against a basket of six major rivals, was trading lower by 0.45 per cent to 100.33. In cross-currency trade, the Indian unit firmed up against the pound sterling and finished at 80.71 from 80.82 per pound and advanced further against the euro to settle at 68.47 compared to 68.54 earlier.

However, it drifted against the Japanese Yen to end at 59.02 per 100 yens from 58.97 yesterday.

In an interview with Wall Street Journal, Trump said the dollar “is getting too strong” and that he would prefer if the Federal Reserve kept interest rates low.

His comments appeared to have the desired effect, immediately sending the dollar lower, to trade around a five-month low against the yen.

In the forward market today, premium for dollar inched up on mild payments from corporates.

The benchmark six-month premium for September ended steady at 150-152 paise and the far-forward March 2018 inched up to 308-310 paise from 307.5-309.5 paise.

Meanwhile, the benchmark Sensex dropped further by 182.03 points or 0.61 per cent to close at 29,461.45.

The last 12 months for Indian market were nothing short of a roller coaster ride for investors. The Nifty50 which gave 18 per cent return in the financial year 2017 hit a low of 7,900 in December but then bounced back sharply to hit its fresh record high of 9,218.40 in March.

Market always give you entry points, don’t ignore:

This is one of the difficult questions in front of investors and advisors as to when to enter. Well, there is no specific month for that or even a season, investors have to remain patient and sit on cash and just wait.

When things look grim for markets and there is fear instead of euphoria there is your entry point. Why are entry points important? Well, simple explanation to that is – if you buy at a low price there is a higher chance of you making money in that trade.

One such entry point came back in the month of December when Nifty50 made a low of 7,894 or nearly 7,900 but then went in just one direction i.e. higher.

“What started as a pullback in December 2016 from the low of 7,894, has strengthened with a prudent general budget, impressive corporate earnings and followed with an enormous victory by BJP in state elections,” Amar Ambani, HoR at IIFL Private Wealth said. In just first three months of 2017, Nifty has recorded returns of 12 per cent.

Don’t look back, looking ahead is important:

You may not be able to recover what you lost in FY17 in markets. But, it is important to realise the possibility which FY18 presents you. Don’t remain stuck with stocks which you have already invested in, build your portfolio by adding quality stocks.

“Though it is tough to think beyond a short-term, the past year has shown that regardless of some pulling down factors, markets can and will go higher,” he said.

Focus on quality and not on quantity:

We always come face to face with situations when we feel stuck. This happens when investors get stuck with stocks which are not that liquid.

Why is liquidity important? Liquidity is your way out from any stock. It means that whenever you want to cash out there are enough buyer which want to buy that stock. One big lesson for investors at any stage is to focus on stocks which have enough liquidity.

Equities remain one of the attractive destinations with better growth outlook than its major competing asset classes such as fixed income, real estate, gold etc.

“We recommend investing in quality names that have reasonable growth visibility coupled with strong balance sheets. We advise a staggered buying approach to build a long-term portfolio,” Pankaj Pandey, Head of Research, ICICI Securities told Moneycontrol.com.

You forgot to diversify:

I am sure you know this by now that diversification is very important not just in equities but across sectors and asset classes. If we closely look at the way the past 12 months have gone by, we note that it was cyclic in terms of rallies in sectors like automobiles, telecom, pharma and banking at different time frames.

“The idea is to diversify across sectors. If you did not have an exposure to some sectors, the year could have turned out to be bad. The year was a complete turn-off for gold and real estate, the assets that has the maximum wealth of the nation,” said Rohira of 5nance.

“With the interest rates for fixed income instruments floored to sub 7 per cent investors should look forward to diversify in other avenues like debt funds that ensure stability of returns and an element of safety. A diversified and balanced portfolio is a key to building wealth on a long term,” he said.

Govt policies take time to give returns, be patient:

After gaining majority win in the state elections, the ruling government is in a much better position to implement reforms and bring out policies which can fuel the growth rate in Asia’s third-largest economy.

FY18 will see the fruits of important reforms undertaken by the government in FY17 such as demonetisation and goods and services tax (GST) which are likely to benefit small and midcap stocks more than largecaps.

Investors should learn that scope of the policies which are being implemented by the government and make their own assessment as to which sector or stock (s) will benefit directly from the implementation of such policies in future.

Instead of waiting for policies to get implemented there is no harm being prompt in your approach and buy stocks which will be available at attractive valuations.
